This is a subject I'm interested in at the moment (flats ordered from Sweden ) and because there's been some recent releases of round figs of the period I thought I would share a couple of interesting sites I've found. If anyone knows of anymore please add them.

An image search for Swedish Army Museum and for the artist Gustaf Cederstrom also brings up some useful images.

Some very inspirational sketches Roger.
It looks as though there are some interesting uniform details as well.
Are you still in your 'I am having a go with oils' mode? I do hope so!

Some useful links there. Cederströms paintings are very nice and full of inspiritation, but not very correct I'm afraid. The painter mixed uniforms from different periods and made some up. But apart from the links I recommend Digitalt museum and livrustkammaren both have Excellent material but unfortnately only in swedish. But if there's something special you need please contact me and I can try to help.

Digitalt museum is a database for a number of swedish museums among them The Army museum wich has a huge collection of weapons and other interesting stuff.

As I mentioned the search has to be in swedish, for instance musköt if you like to see a musket.
