Swedish movie of the third crusade.

A new swedish movie about a swedish noble boy growing up in Sweden and comitting a crime of the heart which leads him to serve in the holy land with the Knight Templars during the third crusade.

The first movie in what is supposed to be a trilogy(I think) has come to the theathers. Based on the best selling books written by swedish author Jan Guillou.

It looks like a nice movie although I know the author isnt correct with some details and there has been much dispute over his claims here in Sweden as he sometimes claims it to be history and sometimes fiction.

Heres the official homepage where you can choose language and watch the trailer although there are no subtitles and much of the conversation is in Swedish. I figure its going to be released outside of Sweden.

Great movie

Thank God this character is not again a metal worker and expert in siege warfare! Hope it will be shown outside Sweden and in English ... from the images rivals some epic movies from Hollywood ... and better uniformoligical accurate from what I seen!

Marc - me think something of a Swedish taste from the movies you are used to watch will arise, hmmm a nice girl dressed as a nun ... better continue playing with soldiers! : )
