tamiya flat clear advice

has anybody got any advice re using this stuff over oil paints?

I've used this over oils without any problems,but I find it is not the best clear matt to use,as it is not always completely matt.
I mainly used it to matt aircraft after applying decals and it left a nice finish to the aircraft.

Can't say I am a fan of Tamiya....or Testors DullCote.....this is my go to for matting anything......

Way better than testors on acrylics but haven't tried on oils. Sorry

This is the best clear flat I've used. Airbrush several light coats for a completely flat finish. I'ts lacquer based so I don't know how well it would brush over other paints. I would recommend you experiment first. Good luck! Regards, Chuck

Best matte varnish I have ever used.Only ever sprayed it, but as its oil/enamel based, I tend not to use so often on armour lately(washes etc).

I imagine as it can be mixed with oils, it would be save to use over them too.
