Dear Planeteers,

I'm currently working on Pegaso's Grand Master Of The Teutonic Order. I'm still building and prepping the kit, and looking around for references.

One detail that bothers me is the banner.

I can seem to find info over this particular type of banner. Although I'm not reluctant to paint it, I would have liked to have more background. Also, I was heading for Konrad Von Jungingen (or his younger brother Ulrich), but I'm not sure this banner will fit the character.

As one can see on this page and this one too, the Grand Master banner is usually cut in three sections. The one with the kit has only one longer section, so the well known black and yellow cross on white background wouldn't fit...

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks for you advice,

Patrick

Jacek, these pics are exactly what I was looking for :) (all i gotta do is paint the whole thing... and that's saying something). Damn', you even got me the shield and everything!

Did you already look for this before or are you just extremely good in regards of Tutonic heraldry?

Thanks a lot!

Patrick

Hi !

Im not an expert , the answer is very simple : i have this figure too !
Tannenberg (Grunwald) is still in my country ;) And war Polish Kingdom vs Teutonic Order is part of our history .
Cheers

Jacek

But of course! thanks for sharing your knowledge :)

So this figure would represent Hannus von Heydeck but with the shield of Siegfried von Feuchtwangen? (although Siegfried's shield looks a bit different - the top right and bottom left quarters particularly).
