I took a break over the Christmas period from posting progress on my latest project. So he is straight on the completed thread.

I picked the figure up at Bugle Call show last year from the lads at TFB, great figure. I made a few slight changes, adding a ridge around the top of the kepi and crescents on the fringed eppulets. Oh and added a bigger cigar to his left hand and trouser beading on the outside seam.

He is painted entirely in acrylic and mounted on a wooden plinth that Ian threw in the deal when I bought him. Really enjoyed painting him and for those who like the Franco Prussian war period I would unreservedly recommend him.

Great work Simon glad you enjoyed him. He was one of the first figures we released nice to see him painted up. You did a very nice job on him.

Cheers Steve, yes he was a great figure to paint, I had a few accidents, snapped the rifle and the kepi peak so had some repairs and replacements to do. He is a cracking figure and was lots of fun, I'll definitely be back for more TFB goodness.

Cheers to the whole team, Simon

That's a lovely figure and you did a great job on him Simon, nice treatment of the blue and excellent cigar work ;)

Cheers Nigel, I think the blue could have been slightly darker but then it would have been too subtle to see the shading etc.

Cheers Simon
