It's sad when books like this fall into the collectable books category with the attendant values. I don't know if it's the "Art of..." in the title but at the end of the day this book was intended to be used as a source for painting flat figures and it's a pity that at these prices many won't have access to it. I know that Osprey still have it on their website (at least it was the last time I looked) but it's shown as out of print, maybe it'll be reprinted one day.

Thank you all for your comments. I based the price on advice from a bookseller...and am selling it for a friend.
Seems I was ill advised and will have to revise the price downwards.

It's not just you Kevin, you regularly see it being 'offered' at hugely inflated prices from book dealers Amazon have some on at £273
It remains much sought after and somewhere between £50 - £100 is where it should sit, depending on how desperate the buyer is to get it.
Condition seems to be a critical factor as it bridges the gap between an 'art' book and a technical publication.
You wont have a problem shifting it at the right price,
Cheers
Derek

Dear Kevin. Please first let me apologise if I sounded a bit caustic earlier. No offense meant.:sorry:

I just get upset when I see books being touted at unbelievable prices, seeing good people priced out.
I suppose you've have been poorly advised after all.
Derek is right, you do see this book (just one example) at prices you'd need a second mortage for.
I know it's all about supply/demand and living in a market economy.

Mind you, looking at the records, I actually sold it at a loss... Marc's gain I suppose.

Marc, enjoy the book - and reward me with improved painting. No pressure.;)

I feel a bit like Dick Turpin, I got mine on an on-line auction for, including postage £11.
This is of course way below market value....one of those occasions when the gods smile on you (n)
