The first Infantry Division landed in Vietnam during the summer of 1965. Deployed from Fort Riley it arrived at Bien Hoa on the banks outside Saigon. The 1st Infantry Division was one of the rapidly escalating regular Army combat formations despatched to Vietnam. Commonly known as ‘Big Red One’ after its characteristic shoulder insignia, No.1, the Division would prove to be one of the Army’s hardest fighting units. Verlinden 200mm Vietnam Bust (The Grunt)

Yes, the eyes might stare to much. I think I was inspired by the drug problems some soldiers encounterd in Vietnam (bad excuse).

Thanks anyway

Contrasts, yes I agree. This was a test for me to paint the face with less. I usually paint the faces with more contrasts and from now on I stick to the heavier contrasts.

Thanks.
