I know this is an older figure from Pegaso, I loved it when it came out a few years ago. I then forgot about it. On browsing the Pegaso, site I saw it again, fell in love again and pushed the order button. Damm it was temp unavailable, having the moulds re done? So off to another site in the UK. GOT IT
well I had to paint it there and then.

Painted in Oil and Acrylic, the black was fun to do. undercoated in pure black and then lighter layers on top. The shade colour was black with a drop of flesh added (a tip given by the Fosten brothers many years ago) The shade was lamp black oil colour.

Fun to paint and now onto something else.

Thanks for looking in

regards
Bob

Nice work Bob. The blacks look really good.
I have a Prussian Black Hussar in queue and the black and white uniform keeps getting him pushed down the order. Your technique seems like it might take the fight out of painting black.

Nice work Bob

Hi bob, this is a great figure which I too painted a while back,it's one of my favourites in 54mm,you have done a great job mate on this,I love the blacks and I really like the groundwork

Looks nice Bob! And pressing that "order" button is so easy isn't it mate?! Sometimes too easy!!

Thank you all for looking in and the great comments received, thats really appreciated coming from painter's of your standards.
Best regards Bob. (y)

Very nice job on this Bob The painting style really suits the figure.
I always like monochromatic figures to be painted in a 'clean' style particularly when like this it's a straight up and down piece.
The painting on the blacks is really well judged and not overworked (y)

Love it.

Two weekends ago I had an inspiration to re-do or start again several figures and had a wail of a time with paint stripper - this figure was on of them.

Cheers

Huw

p.s. for anyone interested the AK Interactive "Paint Stripper" is effective on Acrylic or oil based paints on any material and also is effective at disoving adhesives. Deluxe Materials's "Strip Magic" seems to work best on plastic. Sorry didn't test how they taste
