The paint is barely dry on this version of Troop54 42nd Highlander in Egypt during 1885. I made use of the kit supplied ground work, and merely added to it so it would fit on the wood display base. This was one of my Christmas presents, and I have been very busy painting up the whole lot of them, so I will post some the others as well.

Thanks Andrew, I had a specific tartan tutorial bookmarked on my home computer. It proved to be a great help with this pattern , I'll look it up and post it here when I get home this evening.
 
Glenn, Very nicely done Glenn. (y) I like the staging and the colors very much. You definitely gave the impression of a very dry climate. No heat fumes radiating from the base, but man you nailed it! Thanks for sharing your work!
