I`d like to present you my old work.

The departure of a warrior, Greece, mid V century BC.

Warrior sculpted by A. Laruccia for "Emi-Gladius". His wife - conversion of Athena, sculpted by W. Brevenko for "St. George Cross". Both figures 54 mm scale. Scenery - self-made.

Thanks for looking.

Thank you friends for kindness to my work.:)

Marc, floor represented the pebble mosaic, like the examples from Olynthos.
First - paint background in color of clay coating. Then paint with deep colors every small stone of pebbles, black and white. That`s all.

Regards,
Anton

Nice work Anton.
I also like the floor a lot. Looks like a lot of work!

Did you spray paint the shield by the way?
It looks nice and smooth. This hoplite must have spent quite a few hours polishing!

Cheers,
Adrian

Tony, Adrian, thanks!

Yes, I used bronze color spray for shield cover.
Ancient writers usually described shining armour of the warriors, that`s
why I`d to do bright bronze.
Maybe his slave have spent time polishing the shield. ;)

Great work!! Mind telling How U paint the polished shield and helmet?

CPTan

Metal details were polished before painting. Then shield was sprayed from spray can, helmet and greaves were painted with brush, using the same color.
