A what’s in the box review by me.

The Duel is a 120mm Napoleonic diorama, set during the battle of Waterloo 1815. A reimagined dramatic scene, based on Carl Reid parts re-sculpted by me with a unique base.

The diorama depicts a Scot’s Grey and French Cuirassier in a pistol duel rather than sword fight. A pistol cavalry fight is mentioned in dispatches by an eyewitness at the battle.

My first commercial model, produced and sold by Gordon Mitchell via RDG Miniatures.

Gordon and the team produce some excellent and dynamic subjects (rather than the normal static Napoleonic poses) and at incredibly good prices. I am just completing his recent and most enjoyable 120mm Mounted Empress Dragoon and the cast and fit is excellent.

I hope this does well for you.

Thanks mate,

looking forward to seeing how people paint the project, it was fun to put together but a strange experience knowing copies were being made when I’ve only ever seen originals of my own work.

Thank you Gary,

I had the good fortune to team up with Gordon and Tommi at the Fen show earlier in the summer, great guys and nice working with them to bring new product to market. It was a bit strange seeing my unpainted scene in several boxes when I’ve only ever made single finished works before. :)

cheers, Marcus,
