The Duelist....Dolman Miniatures

Hello to everyone.......

This elegant bust is inspired by an image from the movie "The Duellists"

We haven´t pretending to get a similar character from the film but was great to get the idea from it.

Like the Highlander bust, has had his personal history of setbacks, was initiated by A. Meseguer and finalized by D.Arenales (Black Chapel Miniatures), I think was worth it to wait.

What I liked the most of this bust is how many different ways that you can paint it.

Very nice indeed but I much prefer the shako option. The colpack looks more like woolly mammoth hair than bearskin which is actually a very fine hi-sheen hair having held a (foot guards) Black bearskin in my hands.

It's a nice piece of work ...but another Hussar Bust following on from, Pegaso, Andrea, Le Cimier and numerous others...come on guys lets have a little imagination. If you want some inspiration have a look at the book,

Some great busts just waiting to be produced.

Before I get abuse hurled at me by the PF Mafia , this is not intended as a criticism of a lovely piece of work and I sincerely hope it sells well for you. My only concern is that it has been done so many times before............I must go and find the numerous Polish Lancer busts I've got in the Grey Army

Great bust. The idea of two heads to paint elite or line companies is good advantage. Even, has no cartridge pouch belt, so it could be a soldier, a trumpeter or an officer, and no necessary french, Berg, Hesse, Westfalia etc. could be painted at least with the colback version.

Although I would have rather liked a 1/9 scale bust, I'm glad to see that Dolman Miniatures did not go with their usual 1/12 scale figure.
