The Joker 2019

For this latest piece,I decided to have a change from military based subjects and go for something less serious,for this I chose the Scale Collectibles bust of The Joker based on the character played by Joaquin Phoenix in 2019,the Scale Collectables range does two Joker busts No 1 and No2,this project was completed using Bust No1
The Scale Collectables range is ever growing and if you’re a fan of figure painting and movies,then this is the site for you.
The bust is 3D printed from the Sid Naiques range and the likeness to phoenix is excellent,it’s a 1/5th scale piece so not too big,the whole piece is about 85mm high.
I painted the bust as Phoenix would have appeared in the movie with make up,it was a great piece to paint,this is my second piece from the range after I did Hector Salamanca.
All my painting is done using Acrylic undercoats and finished in oils,no washes or inks were used just paint
The bust is available from Mark Brooks at scale Collectables and retails at £25

A great piece of work, very creepy. Really difficult to paint irregular/imperfect details like that face colouring and not have it look like poor painting, you have done that perfectly.
