I've just watched this long awaited DVD staring John Malkovich as Wellington, and, I'm sorry to say that it is a real "Turkey". The guy playing Massena is way too young, and Malkovich looks way too old for Wellington at that time. The film starts at the aftermath of the Battle of Busaco, and deals with the "Retreat" to Torres Vedras, and through all this, we're told all about the fantastic defences, but you NEVER get to see more than one rampart!!! The charactors, apart from the 3 main Portugese, are steriotypes, and the pace of this film is slower than a snail. Acording to The Guardian newspaper this film is "full of life", WHICH TELLS ME , He didn't see the film. Dont waiste your money on this, BUT, if you feel you must then pm me and you can have mine for 1/2 price £5.00 Ray Stout

It sounds so bad I think I'm going to try and see this :D
Nothing like a turkey (y) If any of you ever go to the Edinburgh Festival don't go to the big shows.
Seek out the performances that get lousy reviews and single figure audiences. The more seriously some of these take themselves the more hilarious they get. Real opportunity for audience participation particularly when the performers lose it.:ROFLMAO:
