Has anyone done the mini bust of the Old Count by Fer and if so would love to get some ideas of how best to paint it , have had it for a few months and well need some help .........its such a well crafted piece and lots of good detail I just wondered if anyone in here has done it

Ok this what I have so far, I sprayed painted it black and then did a white version , then based coated with a thin layer of matt sand attempted the eyes but not feeling happy about it all.
Thinking to start again, again and again ....any help much appreciated..as always

Hi Stephen

I presume you mean you sprayed it black from underneath and from above in white for the high points ?

Why not paint around eye area with a good flesh base coat ....sand ? Then paint the eyes in a light gray and we go from there

Or if it's easier .....soak in Dettol ....get it clean again and go from square one ...

Yes to your first question Nap ..............I may do the detol thing I just cant seem to get the pasty sickly look that I am trying to get , there is so much good detail on the face that I really want to try and get that all out ...
As for Mirofsoft .......not sure what to say to that :inpain:
