Calling my 1/9th scale 3D print from Mark at Scale Collectables finished, although marketed as 'The Old Cowboy' its a great likeness for Sam Elliott as Captain Shea Brennan from the Tv show '1883'
Painted with Vallejo acrylic's and base from Oakwood Studio's
I tried to capture a look seen early along in the show with just a slight alteration being the removal of all the hair under his hat so that it sits better in my mind and the addition of the hat band ends.

Hi Alan

Great to see you posting and thank you for supporting the Brennan challenge ...don't forget the other comps !

This is a nice version , interesting you reworked the hair as well , adding the hat band as well , nice work on the painting

What colours did you use for the scarf ? ...,yes I still have to get my version going !!

Thank you all for your kind comments
Nap here is the mix that I used for the scarf
Vallejo Violet 70.960 and Flat Flesh 70.955 mixed 50/50 on top of a white base primer, I used a dab of Dark Red 70.946 to help with shadow between the collar and scarf, and deep creases. Highlighted with off - white 70.820.
Here is a daylight picture for a better view of natural colour as the ones above where done at night with light box and lamp set up

Excellent work throughout.
The eyes look alive, and your haircut to make the hat sit correctly is spot-on.
Very, very well done.

Cheers,
Andrew

Here is a picture to show how much of a haircut I gave him Andrew. I loved that the kit had 2 options of ‘hat on ‘ or ‘hat off’ showing the great hair detail but I just felt it didn’t sit quite right for me so got the Dremel out and went to work
