I don't recall many figures I have seen and painted that portray the feeling of motion as Alan Ball has achieved with his "Pursuit"

"The Pursuit", 1757

The kit is comprised of 19 parts including a well detailed base depicting a creek bed and a deadfall log accross the creek.

The running Indian helps to add to the motion achieved by the forward indian leaping over the log.

Mounted on one leg with the other suspended in air give the forward motion to the Indian in front of him.

The forward Indian is mounted to the deadfall log and gives the forward effect of motion started by the rear Indian.

The weapons and feathers were again fastened to a cardboard palette for protection against warping and damage in shipping.

Here are some enlargements of the figures.

I will have to say this is one of the finest kits I have had the pleasure to see in the many years of figure painting. This will surely be a winter project this year as I want to take my time with the painting of such a scene in motion.

Thanks Guy.

I have the 'Moment in Time' one and really want the 'Pursuit'. The few figures I have that are sculpted by Alan Ball are really fantastic. The fit is perfect. I will have to ask for this one for my birthday. Spent too much at Expo.
