Hello Folks

Today is the 165th anniversary of the Battle of Balaclava during the Crimean war. To mark this Carl Reid has sculpted a 75mm diorama inspired by the painting of Lady Butler. This complete set will be available soon and I am taking pre orders for it.
The price will be £165.00 which includes worldwide shipping.
The set consists of;
Part 1 - Private Pennington - a trooper of the 11th Hussars ( sculpted earlier by Maurice Corry)
Part 2 -17th Lancer James Nunnery carrying the wounded bugler Billy Britain
Part 3 - Trooper 8th Hussars holding the bridle of a 4th Light Dragoon.

I will be making the set available in separate parts later.

I hope to have a few available at the RDG trade stand at the Telford Show in 2 weeks. Anyone wishing to collect one there or pre order please email me on [email protected]

Regards
Gordon

This is a fabulous looking set and a terrific idea for a scene brilliantly executed by Carl (and Moz). I wouldn’t mind but I’ve not even started the 17th Lancers set yet and your churning out more beauties like this. Keep them coming Gordon. Any chance of something from the Indian Mutiny, Lancashire Fusiliers at Spion Kop or 5th Lancers charging at Elandslaagte? I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

That trumpeter pairing woukd make a great bust

...just saying...as Chailey says ..."hint hint"

This set will look great painted ..a great winter project for those that like legs !

Stunning....

I agree as Chailey says...hint hint.

And as Nap hints

Hoping...hoping....hoping ect ect

I remember these from years back produced by Alan Caton in 80mm, I would dearly love to see it produced in 120mm...(hint hint!)

Steve
I had that set at one point Steve - The soldier with the bandaged eyes always stuck in my mind.
No plans for a 120mm version at the moment but would be great.
Cheers

My kids needs shoes and you bring this out.:cry:

This is superb, the talents of Moz and Carl Reid, who are giants of the figure sculpting world. This is superb in every way, concept and execution - top rate. And all in the best scale of all.

Bust.....;);). go on buddy.....you know it makes sense......Mike

Lol
Thanks Mike. I do like the idea but have to consider the usual factors;

Would it work as a bust?
Price of project - will it count as 2 x busts which would effect selling price.
Other than you me and Nap who else would like it/buy.

Cheers mate

Gordon

Give the Devil's their due folks!
These pieces will be talked about for donkeys! Cheers to the team effort fellas!
Long may you two recreate every image every figure painter has ever dreamed of!
I'm waiting for the French Hussar charge as attached... that's when I start painting full figs again and put busts aside… for a bit ;)
Well done on all fronts.
Cheers from sunny Cumbria.
