The first moment I saw the pictures from this figure sculpted by Antonio Zapatero and the boxart painted by Danilo Cartacci I knew I must have one. It is in my favorit scale nml: 75 mm
After the wife gave permission I order it at www.bestsoldiers.com and within four days it whas at my home.

I couldn't wait to open the box. It is not a box with lid and box but cardboard sheet that is folded to a box.

Between two layers of foam there is situated the metal figure and all his components in a small plastic back and base under the second foam.

Now is the moment for close inspection.

This is the mainpart of the figure that is cast flawless. I cannot see any mouldlines or airbubbles. At the back you see on the upperlegs the hole's that corresponded with the two parts of the cloak.

Further in the plastic back we find the arms, tricorn if you paint the figure with this there is the head with has a square metal on it that fits into this tricorn.

If you want the head without the tricorn there is the head with hair previeuw 013 (Medium).jpg

Further are into the plastic bag: hand with sable, scabbard, pistol, hand with tricorn if you choose the head without the tricorn, right hand, spurs, and a small part that sets of the sash.

And finally the base

Finally I gave you the picture from the www.bestsoldiers.com that gives you the idea of both figures.

All I can see that the sculpting is superbe. But the casting is flawless, with almost no seams and one of the best I've seen. I compare the casting to work of the guys out of Sienna , and this cast is as good as theres. Very, very good casting, sharp detail and not much to clean.
Dryfitting is also good, and as with the most figures some filling is needed.
I can only recommend this great figure.

Yes, he looks quite formidable...keep us posted with your efforts...

And as far as the 'After the wife gave permission...' goes: Oi! I can relate, that's why now and then you explicitly buy and paint ONE for her as a GIFT and keep the others inside a safe, in a separate room, with a 3 headed dog outside the door ...;-p

I'm probably displaying a great deal of ignorance, but would this figure be too early for the period of "Les Miserables?" I could see it being converted to either Javert or Valjean.

Marc friend thanks for your support!!!!!
an integration with 2 pictures about a kit that I mounted, head is not fixed only supported
