Hello Folks

An update on my 75mm Waterloo Square project sculpted by Carl Reid.

The 95th Rifles deployed three battalions at Waterloo the 2nd Bn. being brigaded with the 52nd (Oxfordshire) Light Infantry. It was common practice for the 95th to detach small units to skirmish and harass the enemy and larger units were tasked to support and bolster other infantry battalions and to carry out specific missions. These detached units would seek cover within nearby infantry squares when faced with imminent cavalry attack. The 2nd & 3rd battalions also formed their own squares during the massed French cavalry attacks on the afternoon of the battle to the right of Wellingtons line. Along with the 52nd they also played a significant role in breaking up the attack of the Imperial Guard during the latter stage of the engagement.

With this in mind the 5 x figure set of riflemen can be utilised within the existing 21 x figure set of the 52nd Regiment, as a stand alone set or in parts and as individuals.

I have divided the 21 x figure set of the 52nd into 4 x parts and will be making these available soon along with individual figures. I will post on PF as soon as they are ready. This gives the modeller the opportunity to make up their own diorama with the available figures and within their own budget. I may add other figures at a later stage and will update you on this when I know for sure.

For anyone thinking of converting these figures please be aware that I intend to have the 52nd set converted to represent the following regiments;
71st Highland Light Infantry ( Almost complete)
27th Inniskillings
1st Foot Guards
And possibly additional 95th Rifles figures.

The existing 95th kits are available now at the following prices;
5 x Figure set - £115.00 + shipping
3 x Figure set - £75.00 + shipping
2 x figure set - £50.00 + shipping
£4.50 UK
£12.00 Europe
£15.00 Everywhere else
Individual figures are available at £25.00 each + shipping
£4.50 UK
£8.00 Europe
£12.50 Everywhere else

To order Please email me ONLY on [email protected]
Please don't PM,FB message,text, send a carrier pigeon or fire a flare as it is simpler for me to collate all orders via email. (i'm very easily confused)

Cheers and stay safe.

Very nice release indeed

...good to have the background to the figure choice as well and the way to purchase

The additional Regts you quote will give even more scope

Painted up these will look the business were as smaller units or the full set !

I think these look great!

On another forum, it was brought to my attention that when soldiers went to battle, their packs were left behind at rear areas. Same with forming square, packs were left in the center. Period paintings though, seem to mostly show them to continue to wear full kit when in battle - so which is correct?

Jack

Wow, clean resin, locking lugs, impressive sculpting Gordon. Kinda makes me want to hit the 'ol historical kits. That square is incredible as a complete set.
