The White Rose Xmas Bash

Hi all just to announce the that the WHITE ROSE XMAS BASH will be on next week sat the 10th of Dec at the Paxton Horticultural Hall, Kirkstall Leeds. we have a Railway station 5 mins walk from the Hall it's called Headingly station for those who want to come by Train.

The doors open at 10.00 we have free parking on site. for those that have not been before here are some of the things that will be on.

1/ entry to the show is £3.00 (which includes free food and drink, and entry into the comp)

2/ Traders, we have the following traders in attendance:

Ellie's Miniatures
SK Miniatures
Miches Military Models
Oakwood Studios

3/ Competition ( this is a display of your work from 0ne piece to has meany as you wish to put in. the display can be themed or just your work)

4/ an Auction ( which has become very popular with our guests over the years and helps raise club funds )

5/ Their will also be a Special display of Native american Indians

So if you are coming for the first time you will not be disappointed, we had 375 models on display last year. and the Yorkshire welcome is warm. it's a great way to end the modelling year. catch up with old friends and make new one's

Could I please ask if any PF members from the Brighouse, Halifax or Huddersfield area are going to this event? I live in Bradford and would probably have a small number of models to take along, and my debit card or cash!!! If any members I have mentioned above could give me a lift to the event I would be most grateful and would give you some petrol money and or pay your entrance fee. Thanks in advance my fellow planeteers.

I'm sure someone will give you a hand, if you go to the white rose web page on FB then you will have a wider catchment. we have some members that live in Bradford and the Halifax area. we do have a railway station just 5 mins walk from the hall. it's the headingly station this might be of help to others that wish to come. hope that helps and hope to see you at the Bash.

Oh curses - just realised I've got my weekends mixed up and will have to miss this years Xmas bash (due to family wedding). Absolutely gutted as always I was really looking forward to it and catching up with PFers that I haven't seen in a long while.

Similar thing happened to me once Mat. A wedding clashed with a rock festival at which some of my favourite bands were playing, and guess which one I would have preferred to go to?** Had to be the wedding in the end though, as the wife-to-be said she'd never speak to me again if I didn't turn up .
