I realise this starts early years, please watch all. You see all of us under one Colour, please let us keep it.

This certainly seems a little blatantly political for general figure talk I would've thought.
But as I'm here anyway, Graham, I think maybe your video could be used just as effectively by those advocating independence as evidence of reasons for secession.

Great shout Gra, and very relevant.

One of the first acts after independence will be the disbandment of the last Scottish regiments, including the Scots Guards. I work with a guy who is ex Scots Guards, has lived in Kent for many years, and is beside himself with the inevitable demise of his old regiment.

Times change.

Cheers, Jon.

That clearly political topic seems to be of importance to many PF-members looking at similar threads before - interesting to learn about your thoughts and emotions. - I remember my good friend Keith who served with me in the Balkans always stating to be Welsh or minimum British but denying when being adressed as English who finally presented me with the color of Owain Glyndŵr at my farewell... -
The film is nice but it is somewhat funny to see clips taken from movies that were not in favor of the Redcoats fighting against the independence of other people. There are always two sides of a medal.

Graham, how about releasing a miniature celebrating the theme "under one flag"? Looking at the response about Scotland´s referendum over here it should be a seller.
Cheers, Martin

But the whole purpose of Armies has always been political Mark S, so why is it blatant to discuss it in general figure talk. We all paint and model soldiers.I don't see where you are coming from unless it's just one of gagging a thread that you disapprove of. That is censorship.

Leaving aside the broader political debate what really gets under the skin of us Scots is some of the small things like the tendency for people particularly in the media to refer to England when they should be referring to Britain or the United Kingdom.
It's relatively trivial but it gets really annoying when in even something as meaningless as The Great BRITISH Menu the contestants continually refer to "the English troops landing on the Normandy beaches on D Day" and the singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran (rubbish anyway) saying live on air this weekend that the Glasgow audience was one of the best in ENGLAND.

I've had a complaint so I think I must lock this. Previous threads on the topic were humorous and survived for that reason. While I am sure you are big boys and won't refight Culloden, I can't leave this alone while forbidding other political discussions e.g. Ukraine. Sorry gents.

Colin
