In early 1944 the 503 sPzAbt. combined with more than 40 Panthers formed the Panzerregiment Bäke under the command of Oberstleutnant Bäke . Unit was considered to be a fire brigade, fighting back the advancing soviet forces in the southern secotr of the front. Unit fought to unblock the KG Stemmerman in the Korsun Pocket, several weeks later to find itself trapped in the Kamenets Podolsky cauldron. After these battles the Tigers strenght was down to less than 1/3 of the initial number of ranks. And here my story begins. Twenty abandoned, damaged Tigers were found around the town of Potash, ten of which were photographed:

When I saw it I knew it had to be built, and so I started with the Mid Tiger from Tamiya. Lots of aftermarket stuff was used to improve the kit, like turned barrels, PE, friul tracks, scratch, self made zimmerit etc. There are still some details to be attached prior to painting but I'm closing to have this build finished and painted. Hopefully within two weeks it will be ready.
