Saw this on Social media ......a real shame .......well done to Gray for all his work and time on the forum

As you said ..end if an era

It goes without saying all are very welcome here on PF

Always a shame to see a site or forum go, although I understand Gray's reasons for discontinuing it.
I too hope that some of the members will move across to this site, if they weren't members of both already.

IMHO next to all active members from TLF already decided to become part of PF as TLF had stopped for a period of time due to personal hardships faced by Gray as mod. Too sad that he could not restart TLF but admittedly the posting of pictures on PF is a lot easier than on TLF with limited storage for attachments - an important feature if the forum is about the display of models and background information.
Best wishes for Gray and his future endeavours!

I agree Steve Facebook is great for announcements, although no better than planet, but impossible to use as a search medium or retrieving information. The other problem is the absolute proliferation of modelling sites. My mailbox is full of Facebook posts, so much so that l now just delete them all every day to avoid spending more time on the computer than actually modelling. Not really sure where this all going but long live planet figure.

Planetfigure has been the first website I open with my browser each morning for the last couple of years !
From the news, to current projects in the making, to finish ones with an active marketplace as well, there is everything you could dream of !

What I don't understand ...:

IF someone runs a forum that is not going very well anyway and IF he comes to the conclusion that the "anti-social media" such as "Zucker Mug" are to blame, WHY did he do two years ago (not just now) on "Zucker Mug" opened a separate site that also has the same name as his forum?

With that he sent the few users of his forum all the more to "Zucker Mug" ...

And in general:

NO antisocial medium can really replace a forum!

Cheers

P.S. Sry, for me, "Zucker Mug" is not a social, but an anti-social medium! That's why I call it so.

Not to mention the data theft that takes place there - and which helps to be shit even more with unwanted advertising ...
