A friend of mine from Australia collects photos and postcards from WW1 and only german ones. He had now bought the one shown here. Tin-figures near the trenches. That would be a very nice scene for a diorama

Thanks for sharing this pic Ulrich. Working on flats was probably good therapy for what these guys went through.

Now we know why 'all was quiet on the western front'....the guys were doing their figures.

And they just needed two bottles of paint back then....the world still being in monochrome.
