Following a post elsewhere on here and a link to a video on the IWM site, it appears that the king on his visit to France wore khaki jodhpurs, so it was back out with the oils to create a khaki shade. The boots have also been painted, only a couple of hours work - how, I don’t know

Nice change! I think the change in the King's trousers makes the figures look a bit different and creates visual interest. And you can say it's totally realistic ;)

Hi Steve

Coming along with these , the change of colour on HM adds interest

If I may comment .....Might be pics but have a look at the generals right boot at back , does it need filling to the back seam ?

Presume your adding the rest of the strap for bino's on HM

All credit to you for working in this scale , interesting figures

Nope I think you are right, smidge of Vallejo putty required. Yep need some very thin 1mm tape to make the straps for both figures

Is the Field Marshall figure intended to portray any specific individual? Not many men attained the rank of FM and all seem to have had large moustaches! Just curious.

Plinth arrived from ElGreco (scale75), so cut up some coffee stirrers and stained then rubbed back tot he wood and then painted in the white ends. Drilled a couple of holes for the paperclip wire and popped onto the base. 1mm tape has arrived so can finish of the the straps. Nearly there now;

Near enough actual size;
