Figure 6 of the Tommy's War range features a sergeant of the 2nd Battalion of the Sussex Regiment.
The Sussex will always be remembered for their contribution at Le Cateau and are immortalised on a monument on what is now know as 'Sussex Hill'.
As part of the holding action the regiment fought a rearguard action despite being vastly outnumbered in eight hours of fighting. The German army implored the Sussex to surrender, at one point even playing the British cease fire, but the Sussex refused and were almost wiped-out, with only a small contingent escaping back to allied lines.
This figure will commemorate those brave men, and it is deliberately posed to show the confusion and sheer terror of the moment, its not a usual pose that you will see for military figures, but one that I'm sure modellers will enjoy in its own right or conversions.
