With all due respect....I absolutely detest the name "Toy Soldiers" when it comes to miniatures.....It's a downright disrespectful and degrading name for any one of us who paints miniatures.
Sorry......Just a thought that jumped into my brain and chapped my ass.

Wayne, you are not completely wrong there. It is a bit downgrading on one hand but on the other it is also romantic.I think of toy soldiers as the distant unevolved ancestor of modern figures. It is almost as if someone would refer to modern humans as Neanderthal-cousins.Downgrading for sure but with a romantic twist....just a thought.

Oda.

Wayne no need to get upset, the term Toy Soldiers refers to a completely different hobby . Most people in that hobby only collect not assemble and paint . These figures are already painted and with less definition than the type of figures our hobby produces . Many like to collect really old and rare toy soldiers , some rare figures can fetch a small fortune . Britains are probably the most recognised name in the market . Toy soldiers have been around since Ancient Times , what we do has been popular for just over 40 years . I have seen some rally nice dioramas using newer well defined toy soldiers . Cheer up Wayne without Toy Soldiers we would not have this hobby .
