Hello here are the pictures of a work begun some time ago, a conversion of the MM piece of Chasseur de la Garde Imperiale.
I dress with pelisse (Historex) that I resculpted pieces of fur, added new arms modified ad hoc ...
The trumpet is a mix of various materials Duro plastic, tin wire ...
I modified the horse caparisoned eliminating gallons that were raised ..
I'm sorry but the photos are already the piece with primer ready for painting .... photographer too if I just have more time to sculpt and paint ... TIME TYRANT!
I hope you like it

Hello i start painting from a horse , I want to recreate the mantle of a speckled using the method of work of the master Cartacci ...
I start with a basic airbrush color ocher then move on to recreate the droplets using a large bristle brush , helping me with the finger a short distance from the model to control the width of the same.
In the second phase , with the use of pads that protect our puppets in boxes, dabbed the horse ...
in the lower parts of the knees, under the belly and neck with something on the base mixture darkened with a black and brown;
in the upper parts , head , back, and all those areas which I guess can be more light in the mixture lightened with white and ivory parchment ...
in the next step I have to connect with the mixture clearer all the muscles of the horse in order to melt drops and stains previously made ..... to be continued thanks for the comments always welcome !

Looking forward to the progress. I have in plan to apply this technique too, so I'll be watching closely.
The conversion is simply fantastic! Love it!
Cheers,
Zeno

Thanks Robby and Marc Here we are with an advancement of the painting on the horse ... I began to merge the stained areas with the base mixture lightened with white parchment to highlight the lights, until you come to a mix almost white lights on maximum .... I profiled tail, harness and saddle to get a clearer view of the mantle finally I put down a crimson tint to reproduce the trumpeter's uniform ... what do you think? Thank you Mario

I show you the progress on the work horse with oil: The first two photos show the application of the shadows, while the second two of the lights, the definition of leather straps and a first draft of the tail and mane.
The saddle has a base color ...... crimson color "very bad" .....
I hope you like it ... hello Mario
