My first from Troop54, is a 54mm figure of a private from the 1/91st Regiment of foot 1846 as he would have appeared during the 7th Kaffir war (war of the axe).
I remade the water canteen as it lacked the metal rims around it. A cracking little kit taken from the Osprey book, the British army on campaign No 1
Thanks to Stuart for this one.

Looking very good Bob.
The casting is very crisp with a fine pose.
I am very happy to see a dull war torn tunic observing the brick red colour.
Great stuff Mate

Thanks Keith,
Going by the history it was tough going and the reference in the book shows a very dirty appearance.
Glad you like him. I have some more of these troop54.

Hi Bob

Sorry for late response ..no mojo!

You have done a lovely job on this ...the releases from Stu with Troop 54 are very refreshing , the Osprey series it's taken from have many great subject ideas of campaign soldiers

Nice one you and Stu

Nap, these are lovely to work on and as you say Osprey have loads of images to work from, Indian mutiny for one.
come on get that mojo back:cry:

Nice looking kit and a fine bit of painting. I'm trying to get away from 54mm, but I do enjoy subjects from Queen Victoria's small wars............

Scott

Cheer's Scott,
Like you I tried to get away from 54's but I love this period. There are some good looking figures in this range. Thanks for the kind comment.
Best regards
