This is one that I finished yesterday but with a bit to do. Ie, dirt. I have had it in my grey army for a while now but he has seen the light. I have a few more to do as well.
So here is my Sergeant, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry by Tommy's war, depicted in France 1915. Stopping on route for a ***.

Hi Bob.
Dont know what you are being fed on, but your work is getting better and better with each figure you paint.

Well done mate keep it up.

Mick

Well done. I really like the idea of the poster because it adds a flash of color to the scene.

Great work. The presentation too is beautiful (the poster idea is excellent).

Oda.

Thank you all for the comments, too kind. The poster was found on the internet and printed out on my Pc.
Anyway, glad you all liked it. Much appreciated.
Regards

This is wonderful.
Such care and attention to detail is shown here in the careful and sympathetic choice of figure to set off the beautifully crafted woodwork of the distressed fence that displays your collectors edition poster.!

You clever old dickie

Great stuff Our Bob.

Outstanding work!

well painted and nice base (y)

Lovely bit of work Bob.
The groundwork and backdrop really set it off.

Cheers,
Andrew

Lovely piece of work and story telling bob (y)

What's not to like?????
Excellent work on all aspects (y) The only thing I'd suggest is removing some of the 'jagginess' from the top of the fence.
Cheers
Derek

Very nicely done and I too like the poster.
Cheers
John

Very nice, not easy to make a drab colour (khaki) look good , but you have cracked it.

Very nice! Where did you obtain the poster? Did you treat the poster paper (I assume it was paper.) to distress it?

All the best,
Dan

Wow, thank you all for the very kind comments, you are truly exceptional painters to which I aspire too. I will take all this on board and strive even harder.

Dan: I just searched on google for "French posters 1900-14" and came up with loads. I did fade the poster in photoshop but then distressed it further with some paint.

Best regards to all.
