Hi all

I'm absolutely delighted to be able to show images of the sculpt of the figure that will form the members only figure for the Tommy's War Collectors Club.

The figure, sculpted by Nino Pizzichemi, will only be available to members of the club in 2016, and will not be made available for general sale. Currently (as I type this) there are 95 members of the Collectors Club, and I will only be casting enough figures to satisfy the requirements of the club.

The figure is the usual 1/32 scale and features a Sergeant sniper holding an SMLE rifle (a massive thank you to Steve Readdie for sculpting the rifle and scope), he is heavily laden with additional equipment and is dressed to withstand the cold, including wrapping empty sandbags around his legs (something often seen in France and Flanders).

Tommy's War Collectors Club

After forming Tommy's War in 2011 it has become clear that there is a core of modellers that really enjoy the history of World War One and have engaged with what I'm trying to do with Tommy's War. I consider many of these people to be friends rather than 'customers' sharing an enthusiasm for an era that, in my opinion, we must never forget. So, I decided to reward those customers and for a fee members get the following;
  • 10% discount through the year on all purchases from Tommy's War
  • An exclusive membership figure, chosen by the members
  • Four 'News from the Front' newsletters
  • Catalogues, membership card and more information
There are 3 tiers of membership with 3 fees;

  1. UK - £25.oo
  2. Europe - £30.00
  3. Rest of World - £35.00

(the difference in fees allows for the additional postage to send newsletters and the figure etc to different areas of the world).

The Collectors Club has been popular with members throughout Europe and as far away as Australia, the USA and Brazil. Currently there are 95 members.

Several members have received more discount (using their 10%) than the cost of their membership, meaning the Collectors Club figure is effectively 'free'.

I am looking at additional rewards for customers and ways to make the club even better.

I'm looking forward to this little guy as well, may pop a lemon squeezer on him to.
Thanks Dareen for your efforts to recognise the sacrifices made my our forefathers.
The collaboration with Nino is worthy of our support.

Another happy member & modelling mate.

Looking great Darren. Well done to Nino and Steve on making the collectors club release such a special figure. Really excited about it arriving in the post!
On a historical note - would you expect this chap to be in the trenches or placed somewhere else (in a ruin etc)? Already thinking of scenic options.
Cheers
Mat

These figures are absolutely superb. Unfortunately my eyes can't cope withh 54mm anymore (even with magnification). I wish you well in your endeavours.
