I know that this isn’t a figure, but its designed to fit a figure range ;)

I’m delighted to present the latest in the Tommy’s War range and the first of our vehicle kits. This 54mm (1/35 scale) Douglas 1914 pattern motorcycle is a beautiful representation of the motorcycle that was a pre-war production vehicle and went on to serve in all theatres of World War One.

Cast in highly detailed resin with 22 separate parts, wire, photo etch and water transfer decals this kit builds in to the most highly detailed motorcycle kit of that period on the market.

The sculptor of the bike is Dariusz Beck, the box art is by Carl Startin, but I have also many thanks to pass on to other contributors including Darek who did a marvellous job casting the bike and Steve Readdie who offered valuable advice, assistance and a shoulder to cry on!

The bike has been a labour of love and I cannot even begin to estimate how many hours have been put in to this project, so any criticisms to [email protected]

The bike comes in an attractive box, with an instruction sheet. However, I would recommend that anyone building the kit also looks at www.tommysdouglas.com for far more detailed information and instruction.

Price is £25.00, I think its worth pointing out that not only is the bike in a retail type box but also comes in a strong cardboard mailing box for additional protection.

International buyers can check www.tommyswar.com, I have added more retailers in a wider range of countries now as the range gathers in popularity.

The bike will also be available at Figureworld tomorrow in Peterborough, Carl Startin will be with me and will be bringing the box art model for viewing.

He is on the list to buy at Euro together with the two figures.
Oh, can't hardly wait to build and paint it.
Count down is started. Finally I can make a scene out of my WW 1 books.

Nice box art  :ROFLMAO:

Have to say this was a joy to paint and looks so detailed and fine in the flesh.

Great release and finally a Douglas that is buildable !! :)

Will grab some pre- paint shots for you to see a freshly built Model.

Thanks to Darren and Steve Reedee

Hi received mine today, looks very fine, but I have to say that the instructions could have been printed somewhat larger, I know we deal in miniatures, but I think I may well need the magnifier for the step by step instructions. this is a small moan, the finished model will look great. Jon

Hi Jon

I'm glad you like the kit, I know what you mean about the instructions and they were only meant as a quick guide.

However (and I should have made more noise about this), there is a more detailed reference online at www.tommysdouglas.com

There are images of actual motorcycles and photographs of the build, of course they are larger anyway and can also be downloaded so that you can see them as large as your screen. I will also be adding some more hints and tips as well.

I hope that will help

Darren
