Quite a few years ago I bought this kit right after it came out and now I am getting the chance to paint another. This was my first experience with a resin kit and found the experience very rewarding upon completion. The kit comes in a sturdy box wrapped in bubble wrap and is comprised of 11 resin parts.

The box art serves as a color guide as well as the additional color guide and Historical note inside.

Quang has also provided a black and white drawing of the Blanket Capote as well as the beadwork design for the Blackfoot shoulder pouch and belt.

The figure is cast in gray resin and yellow resin for the Northwest Trade Gun.

The main part of the figure comes cast in whole with the right side of the Blanket Capote to attach after painting the trousers.

One of the features that drew me to this figure is the texture on the Blanket Capote.

The head is clearly cast and finely sculpted as a Native American Blackfoot Indian.

The hands are covered with mittens and the left hand holds a birch bark horn used to call the Moose closer for the kill.

As I mentioned above the right lower side of the Blanket Capote is cast as a seperate part and after dry-fitting fits snuggly into place after painting the right leg.

The Indian Trade knife is also cast seperately.

The shoulder pouch is also cast seperetly and after painting attaches to the left side.

Overall I found this to be an excellent kit depicting the Native American Blackfoot and would reccomend this to all who have an interest in Native American Figures.

Guy, Great review of Quang's kit. I appreciate the lengths that Quang goes to to insure accuracy. Just look at the contents of his instruction sheet alone. It would not only be nice to see more manufacturers take the responsibility of producing the most historically accurate miniatures possible but sculptors as well.~Gary
