Hi Ralph,

I know that this is not in the 'brutal honesty' page, but forgive me for saying that I think the eyes need a little fixing. Otherwise a nice piece of work.

Thanks Joe much appreciated. For some reason I just can't seem to get eye's looking good.
Ralph.

The eyes indeed look a bit 'confused', but I like the smooth blending on the coat.

Cheers,

Thanks Adrian,much appreciated.
I've found some old heads in my stash box and I'm going to practice.

That was quick Ralph!

Maybe you already know this, but it can be useful to start with the figures' right eye if you're right handed, and to do his left eye after that. Then when you paint the second eye you can keep the first one in view. Hope this is remotely clear...?

Cheers,
Adrian

I agree, right eye always seems to be the hardest to get correct (nose gets in the way if you're right handed) so I do that one first then match up the left one afterwards. Another good tip is to turn the figure upside down when working on the right eye, working upside down can be confusing at times though.

I'm still crap at eyes so if I were you, I wouldn't be taking advice from me ;)

Hi Ralph!
Everything has been said about this work. Particularly like the way you painted the clothes.

Cheers
