Hi all,
Sometime ago I started this bust.
Just thought I would show it in the later stages where I need to tidy up
and smarten areas.
Any comments and critiques most welcome

Frank

Hi Frank. I like the flesh tones and eyes. Perhaps the badges of the cap are too yellow.

Hasta luego

Wow Frank
Looking great, really nice face, I'm jealous, but try to paint the edge neck collar. On the pic I see a white spot. Maybe it isn't in real, but I judge on what I can seen on a picture
But overall, very nice

very well done :) flesh tones are superb. If I was you I should make some adjustments to the insignia ( I think they are you brigfht ( yellow ).
The cap is very well done.
About the jacket, I think if you make it more black ( darker ) it will be much nicer, but that's personal.
Goodluck!!

Great Frank. Well done on the white cloth of the cap. How did you do that?

Keith

Hi all, thanks for the encouraging comments.

Anders, all credit to you for your article on eye detail
although it took me quite a few go's to get the look I wanted.

Keith, for the cap cover, I painted thin washes of white/blue allowing
the grey auto primer to show through for shading
I then softened out mid tone areas with washes of beige/white.
Here and there I restored shading with a very watery light grey
It seemed to take forever as the paint was heavily watered down
but it allowed for corrections when things started to get away from me
The highlights are not pure white they just have the least amount of
beige in them.
