U.S.Marine 1968 Pegaso Models
This is one of the newest releases from Pegaso Models. The figure was previewed and sold at the Euro Militaire show this month. The kit is 90mm in scale; Sculpted by Andrea Jula and the box art is by Diego Ruina.

The kit has 20 white metal cast parts, all parts are well protected between two layers of foam, there is a history information and painting guide sheet included in the box.

Here we can see all the parts included in the kit, we will look at the contents of the small parts in the bag further down the page.

The main torso and legs are a one piece casting, the feet locate well into the supplied base. A close inspection shows a very good level of detail and casting with only the smallest of mould lines to remove.

There are two heads included in the kit, one of the heads has the option of helmet on or off.

Location of the arms is exact and a good fit. Attachment of these parts really starts to bring this figure to life.

We can see the contents of the bag of small parts, the level of detail on the canteens, M16, straps etc is very good. The casting of the parts is exceptional with only the smallest of mould lines to be removed.

Conclusion:
A very nice release from Pegaso models, all parts are well detailed and very clean. Only a small amount of cleaning up of parts. The choice of two heads gives the kit a wider choice of configuration and painting options. Highly recommended to anyone interested in the Vietnam era.

As well as the OG 107 [olive green] trousers you could also paint this figure wearing the ERDL camouflage trousers which were issued to the U.S. Marines in Vietnam from 1968. So, together with the optional heads and headgear, this figure offers a lot of interesting options to the painter.
