This is my completed Marauder figure from MDP sculpted by the brilliant Gary Higgins. I call my version "Under Attack" For the first time I have used just acrylics. I normally use oils mainly and this is a first for me.

I hope you like it.
John.

I saw this in the flesh at Bath BMSS event. I was going to get it but bottled out, having a re think now and could kick myself.
I was blown away by the detail. You have done an excellent job.

Fantastic work. First one of these I've seen painted up, and already you've set the bar very high.

I love this figure. Mine is waiting in the wings and will probably be the next figure I start once I've made that last push to finally get a couple of others off the Shelf of Shame and into the cabinet.

Bob I learned years ago that if in doubt, the best policy is just to buy, buy, buy!

Thanks a lot guys.
Smudger - Please let Gary know it's painted. I hope he likes it as it is superb sculpting and was a joy to paint.

Hi John, I do like this very much, I think you've done a great job painting him, and I particularly like what you've done with the groundwork. My original idea was that he was defending the bank of a stream. This is the first time I have seen him in colour, as mine is still sat on my "shelf of shame", (I think that's a great way of describing it). I'm glad you enjoyed painting him, best wishes, Gary.

Thanks very much for all the comments. It was a really nice model to paint.
And to Gary Higgins - Thanks for sculpting this in the first place. It really was one of the best kits I've ever seen. The fit of the parts is superb and the pose is different to anything else I've seen before. I think I may be the first painter of this kit and if that is the case I am honoured.

LOVE THIS PIECE!!!!
Great feel to it. I have a Viking on the bench and this is a wonderful inspiration.... Thanx for that.
Graet sculpt Garry. Should see lots of these, with the alternate parts, there can be many impressions of this figure.

Well done

Colin
