Does anyone know of any larger scale historical miniatures representing soldiers involved in these conflicts?

  1. The Chaco War 1932 - 35 between Paraquay and Bolivia?
  2. 1911 (?) - 1914 three Balkan wars?
  3. Spanish Civil War - I believe I've seen a few, but not many
  4. Spanish - American War?
  5. Boxer Rebellion - Again, I believe I've seen a few, but not many - especially given all the nations involved
All the best,
Dan

"Good luck finding these figures dan I can't think of any in large scale."

Paul - Kinda thought as much. So, if I can solve the 'weapons problems', I may work on a few of them. [I hate making rifles, SMGs, etc.] Will have to be after the current project is completed and I have a long way to go on it.

All the best,
Dan

So you will have to think along the lines of converting suitable figures Dan?

I empathise with the fear of weapon building, it's the only part of our pastime that makes me
think twice, (or more), before converting.

However I'd be prepared to bet that there's someone on here
with a stock of donor weapons that could help;
Unless you can come up with weapon free scenarios.
The last pics upper half could be made I suppose,
from a confederate with slouch hat I would think for example..

With that in mind would

be any help, he has 50+ i think, heads,
along with weapons, sets of hands, and 90-120mm kits.
I'm not so familiar with these conflicts, maybe a degree of cross kitting is possible

Historical miniatures, no. Toy soldiers, yes.

Another conflict not too well-represented is the Franco-Prussian War. For that matter, the "German-Danish War" (1864) and the "German War" (1866) are even less well-represented.

Prost!

Spanish - American War?

Andrea do a 54mm Teddy Roosevelt. There's also this one from Series 77 - long OOP - in 90mm (actually closer to 100mm). He's a U.S. infantryman in Cuba, 1898. Other than that, I'm not aware of any.

Probably I'll do something on the Chaco War first. Maybe a simple hand to hand fight - one Bolivian and one Paraguayan soldier. Photos of some infantry weapons attached. Both nations used Mauser rifles of various types. Both sides used the 1891 Argentine Mauser. Next two below are Bolivian.

All the best,
Dan
