Undercoat

Just wanted to ask what is the best paint to use for an undercoat when painting in oils - acrylics or enamels?

I prefer acrylics for undercoating.

Acrylics work well for me. I use them for undercoating and base coating before applying oils.

I use enamels with no problems at all.

I have personally had success w/ both as have both on hand, will say that I do prefer acrylics due to overall ease of use and cleanup.

I prefer acrylics a an undercoat for oils. If I make a mistake I can remove it without lifting the undercoat at the same time!
