Thanks, Guys

I'm pretty happy with it.

Shane,

Is there another option with what you have done with putty and paint???
Great work, and as the others said the sculpting and painting.

Marc,

I'm not sure I understand your question completely, but you are free to paint the figure as you like. The kit comes with a very complete set of painting instructions that includes known period dye colors.

I wanted to show that this type of armor could have been painted, and I chose a pattern appropriate to the location and period from a book this is listed as a reference in the kit. The instructions also include a complete list of the artifacts used in this interpretation.

The Celts loved ornamentation, so it stands to reason they would have applied it to the linothorax. However, no one is going to call you wrong if you choose to not paint a pattern. Hope this helps.

Marc
Shane, I'm going to guess that Marc is interested in seeing other busts that you have sculpted and or painted.~Gary

Marc & Gary,

Sorry for the misunderstanding. You can see some of my other pieces in the vBench section of this website. Also, look for a new step-by-step coming soon over at MedRom.

Shane
