As posted in my gallery, this is a dio that I completed 4+ years ago. The last one before I was diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer. After radiation, chemo and major surgery I am at present cancer free and it's good to be back amongst fellow miniaturists. Currently, I'm working on a sizeable collection of 1/43rd scale 1960s/70s Ferrari sports cars and GP cars that I'll unveil at the 2017 World Expo. In the meantime, enjoy........

Best to all,

John

John! Sorry to hear about the health issues, but that's great news that you've beat it. I wondered what happened to you when you dropped out a while back. I always enjoyed your work. Good to see you posting here again! See you at world expo if not sooner.

Jason

Well, hello John!

So good to hear from you again and relieved to hear that you're well! You and your talents have been missed, so welcome back to the fold. And what a return! The dio is typically excellent - your skills haven't dimmed in the least. Hopefully, we'll get the chance to see you and your work in the flesh soon (perhaps at the upcoming Sword and Brush show in Toronto on the 21st Nov.?)

Cheers,
Brian

Greetings John: It is so good to hear the "Cancer Free" news
and that you are back with us once again. I had Prostate
Cancer Surgery some years back and like you, I have now been
Cancer Free going on 13 years. Each day is a blessing and I
do not take any of it for granted. And I am sure you do not,
as well.
Now on to those beautiful photographs of your outstanding
work. First of all: that is some excellent camera. . . with great
depth of field. And the presentation is so natural looking, well
lighted. In just an instant, anyone can see that you are quite
a talented artist. You use colour so well, and thru out the entire
compostion. I was particularly impressed with the rendering
of that bright blue oil drum, with the rust all over it. And the painting
of the colours on the tank is just beautiful. Excellent composition,
great colour harmony, and the figures are just as well executed
as any other aspect of this very creative diorama. So much eye-
appeal. Congratulations on a lovely presentation and once again,
welcome back to Planet Figure. The Miami Jayhawk

Happy that you won your battle

Not appreciating the wagons ... but I like the second diorama you posted
