Good day to all. Wish to build the M3A1 White Scout Car. Circa 1941. I would like to add add some figures to this kit. I would like the kit depicted in the Phillippines late 1941 to early 1942. I have not been able to find such figures in a kit form, as I didn't think I would. So.......my question to you Masters is, what figures and accessories should I look for to construct/modify US Army soldiers from this era?
Thank you for your time.

I am thinking there is a question somewhere in there, Paul. Dragon models has recently released an M3, though which model I do not know. There are few figures around for that campaign but you can convert with Hornet heads wearing the Brodie helmet as opposed to the M1. There are a lot of 1/35 styrene figures of GI's out there. The Dragon Models M3 is in 1/35 also. Bob Tavis, what can you add to help Paul out?

Actually....I was thinking of doing a figure of a Philippine scout along with an American soldier circa 1941-1942. Everything I have seen and read, those Filipinos were harder than wood pecker's lips!

I would also like to see the figures available to do this with.

This is the uniform of the period:

DML has the Springfield in this kit but the uniforms are not correct:

I do not know of any other MFG who makes the exact figures in 1/35. You would have to scratch a lot the parts yourself I think.
