US Army Designated Marksman (SDM) In Iraq
1/9th scale resin
sculpted & painted by Nick Majerus
19 parts

Nick Majerus, Regimental S4 Miniatures, has brought us a well detailed bust of a US Army SDM from the Iraq campaign. Cast in yellow resin the bust has an exceptional detailed rifle and scope the figure is holding.

The kit consists of 19 parts, a few of them metal as well as wire for the head and helmet microphone. Simple instructions are also included on how to simulate the coiled wire seen on most all soldiers. Many of the small parts are shipped in a sealed baggie (seen above) to ensure against loss during shipping.

Above you see both right and left arms dry-fitted to the chest. Once the casting is cleaned up the arms should fit with no filling needed.

Above you see the weapon with the hands cast to the weapon. It has a metal barrel to avoid resin warpage. I did a dry-fitting of the torso and arms along with the hands and weapons fit into their sockets. Everything had an excellent fit.

Conclusion:
This is an excellent bust kit and in my own opinion the best one so far from Nick Majerus. I have continue to see his skills grow and improve over the years. All dry-fitting was good. Highly recommended.
