Well, I'm used to better sculpting like this one from Pegaso I did a few years ago. The Iron Cross is a jewel, nothing close to what's above.

Nice figures, but terrible details on the awards.

It will look fine with paint IMO. Clearly Offo concentrates on portraiture rather than miniaturizing regalia and uniform seams and buttons etc. For that you are best to pursue 3d printed pieces or pay Pegaso prices.

It may be just my old eyes, but Julian may well have a point.
It's the first time that I've seen an Iron Cross that appears to bend with the folds of the clothing.

Andrew

Yes, they are flat, not much work was put into. Price range is not a issue for bad sculpting. Pegaso and Andrea have the same price range and Pegaso is way better in details, fit, seam lines and necessary clean up. It's just some care with details.

Personal opinion I guess. I would rather have a portrait that looks like the subject than a perfect miniature medal any day. If I was bothered it would be a three minute fix. Doesn't make me wrong or you right. Just different priorities. At least we don't have MMM jumping in to slam you for criticizing. Good on them! Seriously!

Colin,
I fully agree with your opinion of Offo's sculpting prowess. His ability to accurately portray characters is outstanding.
I only stepped in with my casual observation because I thought that Julian's observation did not warrant a dismissal.
