Hi mates,

Since some times, I wanted to get back painting.

I usually painted to play ( frostgrave , warhammer ... ) but then I wanted to paint with the goal of participating in contests. But I'll not come to events with a basic display and as I'm not a god of the brushes, so I've to train myself.
I recently bought a Valten released in 2002 by Games Workshop. I really love this mini.
I also bought the Windsor & Newton Series 7 brushes, and I fell in love.

So here I show you my work on Valten.

Thanks

Hi mates, tonight , I painted the other arm with the same colors and I added some light on skin treatment, I want high contrast for different volumes legibility ... it's true, he has muscles that not even exist ... at least not on me ;-)

Also, I followed on his jersey where I largely inspired by Martin Grandbarbe and his Zeus from Mythic Battles: Pantheon ... then I just made flat areas of her apron I imagine very worn leather, with very clear areas to mark wear. And also flat areas of hair ... I really like this figurine !

Great start, and a great figure to boot! Painting is in the eye of the beholder, if you are happy with the end result then it s a winner, and thats when you start pushing yourself to be better. From your pictures you will get there quite quickly. I look forward to seeing the next round of pictures :)

Slainte,

Andy
