Hi one and all , I have a major problem that needs immediate attention! Someone has made a bride and groom set for my sons wedding next Saturday. I think it has been made from Fimo Clay. It has developed major cracks across the grooms face. What would you recommend for a quick repair as they have to be repaired, painted and on top of the cake by next Saturday morning 31st March, no pressure!
ps my wife Jackie is making the cake so I'm getting major earache .

I work a lot with Fimo, and you have a problem which is not easily solved , since you don't have any of the original mix to fill the cracks. The only thing I can suggest is that you warm the figure up ( about 100C ) then put some superglue into the cracks and squeeze them shut while the material is still slightly flexible ( it gets bendier when hot ).
Otherwise you will need to stuff the cracks with something else, but it won't match.

Oh, and definitely eat the cakes. It helps with the thought processes....

OK guys , problem solved . I thinned down some Brummers Stopping and painted it in over two applications and then sanded back . Carl I have been the offical recipe taster for over half a dozen cakes if I eat anymore cake I'm gonna puke .
Thanks All
