Geting the hang of a slung pelisse is always tricky and not many models get it right. It's quite a heavy garment, often with a fur lining or edging. The right sleeve is always going to hang vertically and pull the weight of the pelisse down the soldier's back, especially when the horse is moving. Gravity always wins!
