This is an old Imrie Risley kit. George Washington. I made a trade for a REAL fruit bat for this kit from the owners of IR. Pretty happy with the results. I added some apples made of green stuff.

Nicely finished! The apples are a nice touch of wry humor, too.

I'm a big fan of Imrie-Risely kits. They may be dated, but I appreciate I/R's role in establishing historical miniatures. Also, their sculpts still hold up pretty well, and for what I paint and collect, the Seven Years' War, their British light dragoons, French revolutionary hussars and Hessians fit right in with the other figures I have. The light dragoons can be backdated with very little effort, and the French hussars with their mirlitons can stand in for the hussars of a number of armies of the time. If you want to put together a display of many figures, there's pretty much no alternative.

Prost!

Yes I am also a big fan. Played a big role in my early years learning about the hobby. Always pictured in books and readily available like Valiant, Phoenix, and a few others. I still love looking at the old IR catalogs.

Cheers
