Very nice indeed, all those pearls must have been like running a marathon. Love the face colour and the way you made him look menacing, as if his reputation wasn't enough!

Cheers Simon

Thanks everyone for your kind comments,as just recently I was close to giving my painting up,as now that I'm getting on a bit I don,t have the enthusiasm I used to have, but I think I'll plod on a bit longer.

Hope you stick at it until the good Lord makes you stop, Brian. Which hopefully won't be for a while yet! Your work is always a pleasure to behold, and this one's no exception.

Don't you quit painting, I really like your style and always look forward to something from you Sir. If you quit painting you may fall into bad habits like drinking beer and chasing loose women. Besides, I think it keeps a person sharp.

Hi Brian you have a great talent and you fly the flag for us old guys, I often look at what you can do and say well if Brian can do that then I am going to try and give it my very best shot, I hit retirement age and retire next year and my plan is spend my days working through my grey army just as someone else has said to keep me sharp and away from the Pensioners everyday boozing sessions in the various local Pubs and Clubs, so I hope you keep at it and this latest brushwork is such a wonderful piece.
